RIP - Dr. Toni Gregory - October 12, 1947 - May 13, 2013

Dear Toni,

I miss you and I’m sure that this will be even more noticeable at Residency. The loss will be felt acutely when I have some silly question or some difficulty at Union. I so clearly remember how you answered all my queries prior to and during my first semester in January 2012 – a short time ago and at the same time so long ago. . I’m sad that you are no longer the “go to” person for everyone at Union about utterly everything regarding the doctoral adventure. I remember the very first information Adobe session where you welcomed each of the potential learners. I felt accepted by you. As these Adobe sessions continued on for a few weeks I remember having a lot of questions, which you graciously answered. How you managed to give every learner at Union your undivided attention is a North Star I can use to keep my focus on the people, helping them and being of service. Between those currently actively pursuing their core course requirements and those off somewhere dissertating, there are probably 140 people whose lives you touched in any given year, as students progressed through their doctoral studies.

I thank the Lord you were brought into my life as I was about to embark on an incredible life adventure.

Love,
William Cerf
